In Step 1 of the Oxygen Advantage® program, we work the fundamentals of how the athlete breathes. Think of Step 1 as strengthening and tuning your breathing and the associated body processes for optimal athletic performance, as you would your body's muscles.

The work in the Oxygen Advantage® Step 1 encapsulates the basic building blocks of athletic breathing. This work is as important as a cyclist's pedal stroke, a swimmer's swim stroke or a runner's mechanics. This work readies the athlete for the important Step 2 and Step 3 of the Oxygen Advantage® program.
